It’s time for my May Stitch Fix Reveal. Since It’s been several months since I received a fix and shared it with you, and because I am just so happy with this fix, I couldn’t wait to show it off to you. May is also my birthday month, so when I got home from work the other day, it was like a birthday gift waiting for me on the porch. I feel like my stylist really got my style this month, from my head down to my toes. Read on to see the entire fix.
This is not a sponsored post, but does contain my Stitch Fix Referral Code, and a few affiliate links. I receive a small commission when my readers click and use those links. As always, all opinions are my own, and I appreciate your support of my blog. (See below for more info about that Stitch Fix Referral Code!)
By now, I’m sure you know how much I love colorful outfits, especially in the spring and summer months, so I was especially thrilled to see all the happy colors peeking out from the box when I opened it. I was also happy to see that Lynsey included a new pair of white jeans because one can never have too many of them in the summer. I often wear white jeans in place of dress pants to work in the summer. Summer is a bit more laid back in the office, so any excuse to wear jeans to work!
MAY STITCH FIX REVEAL
I have always loved the personal touch of the stylist’s note tucked away in each fix. It’s such a nice extra touch, and reminds me that there is a real person behind the selection process. Lynsey has been my stylist for four months now, and I feel like she finally gets me and my style.
WEST KEI | Coleton Button Down Blouse
This flowy blouse is a summery coral orange, which is such a happy color for the summer months. It looks perfect with the white jeans she sent. I was impressed by the fact that the top is lined, giving a little extra coverage. I styled them with a front tuck, but it looks equally cute hanging loose. I’ll probably add some turquoise jewelry to the mix, just to brighten things up a little more. I love it!
WEST KEI | Allan Surplice Rolltab High Low Blouse
This top is what I was the most excited about! It’s a bright raspberry color, is a high-low style, and the pattern is absolutely adorable. I’ll admit that I was a little skeptical about the elastic front waist, which typically doesn’t work very well with my pear shape. However, the fit was perfect, and I think it’s flattering. The fact that I’ve lost almost 25 pounds this year probably helps. I’ll always be a pear, no matter my size, but clothes are definitely fitting me better these days.
COSMIC BLUE LOVE | Adrianne Boyfriend Jean
This is one of my favorite brands that Stitch Fix offers. I received a cute yellow pair of very similar pants in THIS FIX, and have since ordered several more in a variety of colors from the ‘Shop Your Looks’ feature that Stitch Fix provides. They’re the perfect pant for summer and are a modified boyfriend fit, let’s just call them a girlfriend fit, because they’re not quite as slouchy as a true boyfriend jeans. They also have a higher rise that my pear shape loves. Fun Fact – higher waist jeans actually make your legs look longer!
VIOLET & RED | Marie Whipstitch Leather Sandal
I’m pretty certain that these cute sandals will be on repeat this summer. They’re navy blue and have a little bit of a block heel, which I think looks a bit dressier than a true flat. They’ll be perfect for the office. I’m wearing them here with all of the outfits. They’re super comfy too! Because life is too short to be uncomfortable. Am I right?
41 HAWTHORN | Elisse Knit Surplice Dress
I just cannot express how happy this dress makes me. First, it’s ridiculously flattering. Wrap style dresses are possibly one of the best dress styles a pear shape can wear because our waists are usually smaller, and the wrap style dress emphasizes it. The turquoise color has become one of my signature colors for spring and summer, something about it just soothes my soul and takes me to that beachy place in my mind. I’ll probably add either white or coral jewelry to this outfit and style it with white sandals. Likewise, it would be easy to dress down with a white denim jacket and sneakers too.
