Three Ways to Style a Faux-Wrap Dress

Hello again! Today I’m showing you three ways to style a faux-wrap dress. Spring has finally sprung so I’ve been doing a little cleaning out of the old closet, taking inventory, and seeing what fits me. I’ve lost almost 20 pounds on the WW blue plan, so I’ve been extremely tickled to rediscover lots of cute outfits just hanging around, waiting on me to wear them again. I decided to reward myself with a couple of new things that are a little out of my comfort zone…like a wrap dress! When I found this one online at Amazon, I bit the bullet and gave it a try. And wait until you see the price y’all!

Amazon Prime has this great feature that allows you to try before you buy. I don’t normally take advantage of this, because the gigantous beast that is Amazon simply overwhelms me with choices. But I went in with a firm shopping list of ideas which included a wrap dress, which is perfect for a pear shape since it accents my smaller waistline.

I love the smaller leopard print pattern of this dress. Since the dress is a bit more tailored, I think the print is a perfect choice. Another plus, prints hide and camouflage all the lumpy bumpies that might be lurking underneath. I simply styled the dress here with a pair of nude sandals and simple jewelry. Style tip: a nude shoe elongates the legs and makes you appear taller!

The V-Neckline is perfect for us pear-shaped ladies too. It’s so flattering and actually quite slimming, and is the perfect landing spot for a cute little necklace. The swingy skirt is so comfortable and it’s not clingy at all! Oh, and did I mention that it has pockets? Woot!

Faux-Wrap Dress Styled with Sneakers and a Denim Jacket

Throwing this dress on with a comfy pair of Converse sneakers and your trusty denim jacket is a win-win. Look for a jacket that’s not too boxy so it doesn’t overwhelm the dress. I also added the cute Tahari backpack I got from Stitch Fix a while back. It’s my trusty “go to town” bag and I’ve gotten so much use out of it. Faux-Wrap Dress Styled for the Office

I thought it would be fun to add a pop of pink to this lovely faux-wrap dress, so I threw on my favorite pair of pink espadrilles and a hot pink blazer. Since the colors are so bright I kept my jewelry simple. I’m also thinking that a pair of nude pumps would elevate the dress even more. It’s the perfect dress for any office setting!
