Happy March everybody! Winter is slowly loosening her grip on our daily lives, and our wardrobes will soon be transitioning from winter to spring. If you’re like me, you might even get a Spring Break to celebrate the end of winter, and an opportunity to recharge the batteries before the non-stop busyness of the end of the school year. I’m always amazed at how quickly the last few months of school seem to fly by! Anyway, the hubs and I are planning a little getaway for Spring Break – a road trip to the Ozarks – and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I asked my Stitch Fix stylist for a few things I could wear on our trip – which will be pretty casual and relaxed. Read on to see what she sent me.Continue reading “Stitch Fix Reveal – March 2019”
Howdy y’all. The weather is cold and wet and dreary today. This follows temps last week in the 70’s. I really think Mother Nature is having a nervous breakdown or something…I mean, how in the world do we even know what to wear each day? I’m easily confused. Anyway, I came home to find my cute little Stitch Fix box on my doorstep the other day, which was a truly sweet surprise after the horrendous week I just had. (I won’t go into details, but I’m pretty sure that one week last about 598 days, give or take). I asked my stylist, Katherine for a Work Wear Fix. And she delivered! I can’t wait to show you what she sent!
February is the month of hearts. Valentine hearts. Sweet hearts. Candy hearts. Chocolate hearts. And most importantly, women’s hearts! Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer of women? My paternal grandmother passed away from a heart attack at the age of 64. That’s sobering news for me. I had the supreme joy of being diagnosed with elevated blood pressure last year. Not sure if it’s the stresses of my job, my genetic makeup or a combination of both, but I had to add a daily dose of medicine to my morning vitamin routine, but I’m glad I caught it early. Perhaps my grandmother didn’t? That little bit of news shifted my view of diet and exercise from a focus on my figure to a focus on my life and health. So this month’s ‘Go Red for Women’ campaign affects me personally. I’m thrilled to join in and take part in this Monday’s style linkup with some incredibly fashionable women who will be wearing their heart’s on their sleeves and showing you how GOOD red looks on them!Continue reading “Stylish Monday Link Up – Go Red!”
Happy New Year y’all! I don’t do resolutions. I fail every time. So this year, I optimistically created a to-do list of things I want to accomplish. I crack myself up…but, so far so good. One of my priorities is to get my closet under control, so I’ve gone on a ‘shopping diet’. I’ve been sharing my progress in my Instagram posts, as I shop my closet instead of stores each day. I have chosen to keep receiving my Stitch Fix boxes though. I just look forward to them too much! With all the excitement of the New Year, holidays, company and then going back to work, I completely forgot to update my note to my Stitch Fix stylist. So I was a little apprehensive when I got my shipment notice from Stitch Fix. Want to see how it went? Read on!Continue reading “January Stitch Fix Reveal”
