Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspo

It’s almost the ‘love’liest time of the year y’all, so I’m here to share a little Valentine’s Day outfit inspo with you. I’m a sucker for holidays and enjoy dressing up for them, so today’s post gave me an excuse to go play in my closet (one of my favorite things to do). So from a date night with your significant other to an outfit perfect for a Galentine’s shindig, I’ve gotcha covered!

If you’re like me, you have plenty of basics in your closet, just waiting for you to dress up for a special occasion. Valentine’s Day is no exception. Try creating a Valentine’s Day outfit from pieces you already have! And don’t be afraid to try a new color combo, or style that Valentine’s sweater in a fresh new way.

Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspo

Look Number One

Valentine's Day Outfit with red shirt
By the way, I added a fun little twist to my top by changing up how it’s buttoned. Be sure to pop over to my Instagram Reels this week, where I’ll be showing you how I did it!

I’ve had this red leopard print top for literally years and years. I usually just pop it with a pair of black trousers for work, throw a cardigan on top and call it done. But I thought I’d try creating a Valentine’s Day outfit using the top as my jumping-off point. I styled it with the Spanx faux leather leggings I got a while back. (tip, if you order these leggings, be sure to size up if breathing is important to you) I added the red pumps I found on sale at Ann Taylor to dress things up a bit. My instincts told me to just wear a tall boot, but I went with the pop of red and I like it, don’t you? Because I’m super self-conscious about over-exposure, I threw on an oversized blazer for some extra coverage. I like how it elevates the outfit a bit.

Look Number Two

Look number two features the same black leggings with a tunic-length red sweater. (shop similar sweater HERE) I kept the red pumps, but this would be equally cute with a pair of leopard print booties or shoes. True confession here…this outfit is 100% in my comfort zone! The leggings give the outfit a little vavavoom, but I still feel modestly dressed. I like it when my assets are fully covered! This is such a simple outfit, and super easy to recreate.

Look Number Three

This look would be perfect for a Galentine’s lunch date with friends, or a casual get-together. I’ve always liked pink and red together, and it works beautifully in this fun sweater I found at TJMaxx. The design reminds me of those addicting candy conversation hearts. This time of year heart motif shirts and sweaters are absolutely everywhere! Find one that you like, throw it on with jeans, and boom! Done! I’m styling it here with my red pumps for a dressier vibe, but if I was doing something a little more casual, I’d style it with my glittery red sneakers.

Here are just a few more photos for inspiration. I have collected Valentine’s sweaters, graphic tees, and sweatshirts for a while now. They’re just fun to have in the closet…even if I do only wear them once a year!
