Today I’m thrilled to show you how to style a coatigan and am also showing off some new pieces from Stitch Fix that I’ve received over the past few months. Coatigans are like a sweater and a coat got married and had a beautiful baby, perfectly created for the fall and winter months. They’re so versatile and easy to mix and match with other things you may already have in your closet. You know how much I love to play with my clothes, so I really had fun styling these two beauties for you today. Read on, and let me know which looks you like most.

I’m styling two coatigans for you today. The beige and camel coatigan was a STEAL from TJ Maxx! I just love a good bargain, don’t you? There is nothing quite like that treasure hunt that occurs every time I enter that store. The beautiful black plaid number is from Stitch Fix. I loved the classic black and camel combination, and think it will be perfect for the office. Here’s how I styled them both.
How to Style a Coatigan With Leggings
I bit the bullet and finally ordered these gorgeous faux leather leggings from Spanx recently, and I’m so happy I did. They definitely hold everything in place and look fabulous with tunics, oversized tops and sweaters, and boots. I DO recommend going up a size if breathing is important to you! I styled the leggings with the leopard print Vince Camuto top from Stitch Fix and then added each sweater to mix things up. I accessorized with a pair of tall tan suede boots that I’ve had for years. I think this look works best with the black coatigan, don’t you?
How to Style a Coatigan With a Graphic Tee
I guess it’s no secret how much I love a good graphic tee y’all. I’ve had this one in my closet for a while, and wear it often because you can’t beat the classics! I styled the lighter plaid coatigan and Rolling Stones tee with Kut From the Kloth jeans and added a pair of Lucky brand booties, both from Stitch Fix. I’m really happy with this look! The second look features the Spanx leggings, the black coatigan, and sneakers for a more casual vibe. The coatigan helps me to feel more covered up and confidant. Which look do you like best here?
So whatcha think? Will you be adding a coatigan to your winter wardrobe? If you’re not 100% on the bandwagon, these looks can be replicated by simply using a longer-length cardigan or topper. That’s the fun thing about fashion, how you wear it makes it your own! And that my friends, is my definition of personal style!
