May Stitch Fix Reveal | Summer Wardrobe Refresh

The quarantine is finally  loosening its grip on us, and it’s time for me to return to the office. I’m looking to add a few pieces to my wardrobe that I can wear to work, so I asked my Stitch Fix stylist for some summer fresh looks, and maybe some florals.I have a new stylist now, and last month’s fix was a bust, but my new stylist, Jennifer absolutely nailed it this time! I can’t wait to show you what she sent me.

It’s always so fun to come home and find a Stitch Fix box on my porch! I couldn’t wait to tear into this month’s box, especially after being so disappointed last month. I was crossing my fingers that this Fix would be a winner!

May Stitch Fix Stylist's Note

Jennifer’s detailed note, along with the style cards are full of styling ideas and tips. Honestly, the stylist’s note is my favorite part about Stitch Fix. It’s a personal touch that is a huge difference maker to me.  Another feature I enjoy are the Style Cards that come with the stylists’s note. I save these each month, and can even view them online. I’m a visual learner, and these cards really help me to think more creatively when it comes to styling my outfits, and give me great ideas for mixing and matching the pieces with things I already have in my closet.

MIA LIANNE COLOR BLOCK SANDAL

I asked for a cute new pair of sandals, preferably in a go-with-anything color, and Jennifer delivered! I think this adorable pair will carry me right through to fall.  Flat sandals like this pair are not my usual go-to, but these are extremely comfortable!

T TAHARI MARA BACKPACK

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure I was going to like this bag, but when I opened it up and looked at it, I knew it was a keeper. Great organization inside, good quality leather, and hands free versatility make this a perfect day bag or work bag. I can’t wait to use it! I think it will be a great little travel bag too.

DANIEL RAINN BECRU LACE DETAIL BLOUSE

This lace detailed top is absolutely stunning. Green is not a color I would choose myself, but that’s what I love about Stitch Fix, the stylists know how to push me out of my comfort zone, and encourage me to try new styles, patterns and colors I wouldn’t normally wear. Daniel Rainn is my favorite Stitch Fix brand, and I almost always keep them, like this black floral top HERE, or the gorgeous crochet number HERE. I think it will look cute with white jeans and a cute pair of wedge sandals. Its so ladylike!

PAPERMOON MIXED MATERIAL TOP

This blue top has so much going on! It’s soft and stretchy and so, so comfortable. I’m going to try styling it with olive green, like the style card suggested, and also with white denim from Jennifer’s note. It is a little roomy, and I probably could have sized down, but I’m too lazy to deal with it, even though Stitch Fix makes the process very easy. I’ll probably layer it with a lightweight cardigan for the office. This is another piece that I can wear right up to fall. It works great with the MIA sandals too!

COLLECTIVE CONCEPTS DOLLIE DRESS

I mean. Come on y’all. How stinkin’ cute is this little dress? The vibrant color, the elastic waist, the neckline, and the length make it just about perfect. I can wear it with flats, sneakers (like I did here), sandals, wedges, you name it. I can add a cardigan, or a jacket. The possibilities are endless. Dresses are just so EASY! I styled dresses for summer several different ways HERE and HERE.

I think all of these versatile  items will really punch up my summer closet, and give me lots of styling options. I’ll be wearing them for work and for my down time, which will hopefully include long leisurely walks through Hobby Lobby and TJMaxx and date nights with the hubby. 1. My daughter and I tried Stitch Fix for awhile, but we both came to that our stylists never read our feedback or requests. For instance, I once requested specifically dressy clothes for work, and received jeans and leggings in my next box, lol! But your stylist notes seem so personal and detailed! Perhaps we just had bad luck. 😊l love the Daniel Rainn brand too, and have a number of his tops. So flowy and romantic!

    1. I think it takes several fixes for the algorithm and your stylist to figure things out. I don’t always keep everything, but I typically keep at least one or two things I just can’t resist!
