Fallin’ for Tie-Dye | September Stylish Monday

Tie Dye is having a moment y’all. Like a big one. The current craze for tie-dye started this spring when we were all locked up and feeling loungey and lazy. Some of us were being crafty and making our own tie-dye creations, while the rest of us were scooping up everything tie-dye we could find on Amazon – from loungewear to kimonos – you name it, the groovy print is the queen of everything this year! This swirly, colorful trend is continuing on into the fall, so my Stylish Monday sisters and I decided to feature it in this month’s link-up party. Read on to see how we styled our tie-dye for fall.

Leopard is a Neutral! How to Style Leopard Print with Everything!

Leopard is a Neutral! How to Style Leopard Print with Everything!

It’s no secret. I adore Leopard Print! I never met a leopard print I didn’t like. January Stitch Fix Reveal

January Stitch Fix Reveal

Tell me if you know the artist by these lyrics – Shake Your Bootie, Get Down Tonight, That’s the Way I Like It (uh huh uh huh). Yep. KC and the Sunshine Band. Pure poetry right there folks. My mama thought he was so dirty. I thought he was so cute. My high school BFF and I were even members of the KC and the Sunshine Band Fan Club back in the day. No shame in my disco game y’all. My 16 year old inner teenager is seriously fangirling all over the place. I decided to see if my Stitch Fix stylist could help me out with something cute to wear to the concert, and she did NOT disappoint! Continue reading “January Stitch Fix Reveal”

I revived my blog from the archives in June, because I felt led to inspire other women to enjoy these prime years we call “mid-life”. I felt like I was also reviving myself as well, after struggling for a couple of years during the illness and loss of my parents. I wanted to bring back the blog to not only focus on fashion, but also the challenges and lifestyle events that happen in our midlife years.  So as my blogging year winds down, I thought it would be fun to review the style posts that I featured on my Instagram feed. I use Instagram to highlight fashion and style for us gals over the age of forty. I hope you can relate to me and my style, and that you’ll feel inspired to look at your wardrobe in a fresh, fun way. Most of my Instagram posts feature what I wear to work each day, and my wardrobe is a mash up of casual mixed with professional styles. I generally shop Chico’s, Loft, Target, department stores like Dillards and Nordstrom and several local boutiques as well as my beloved Stitch Fix.  Continue reading “2017 Style Review”
