Happy, Happy June!! Are we having fun yet? I know I sure am! We couldn’t wait to get in the pool, and have already officially opened it up for fun in the sun. We had family over for the Memorial Day weekend, and everybody enjoyed the long leisurely afternoons by the pool. I’ve been shopping around for you, and have created a roundup of some of my summer favorites, old and new! I’m going to divide it up into two posts – this first post is all about Summer Skin Care. Hi friends! I thought I’d share a round up of my favorite spring beauty finds. It’s time to freshen up our makeup looks! Just as we change up our wardrobes, swapping out the richer hues of fall and winter with lighter brighter springtime colors, we need to do the same with our makeup and hair care. But before you do that you need to take inventory, and do a little spring cleaning of your makeup and beauty stash. Reserve yourself a few hours for this project, it’s a big one!

My Favorite Things for October

We returned from our lovely week in New Hampshire to find that it was still in the high 80’s with a million percent humidity here at home. But yay! Our weather is finally feeling a bit more like Autumn, the days are getting shorter, and we can finally begin wearing all the fun fall fashions we’ve been dying to sport. Here in the south our fall weather is all over the place: Cool mornings, hot afternoons, wind, humidity, no humidity, rain or no rain. (Right now we desperately need rain!) Seriously. Like they say – “Wait five minutes and it will change.” I’m thankful however, because the changing season offers us an opportunity to try new styles, fashions and beauty products. I love this time of year. Watermelon. Swimming pools. Baseball. Grilling outdoors, and not heating up the kitchen. Fresh homegrown tomatoes (because seriously, those things you buy in the grocery store in the winter don’t deserve to be called tomatoes!)
