THE SIMPLE WHITE TEE

The tee Iโ€™ll be styling today is a simple one from Old Navy thatโ€™s been hanging in my closet for a couple of years now. It features a loose swingy silhouette, and a feminine rounded neckline, though for my pear shape I typically prefer a v-neck. Take note of how I accessorize the neckline to draw the eye away from my hips and thighs (one of my preferred ways of styling a pear shape – you can read more tips about pear shapes HERE)

THE BOOTCUT JEANS

Iโ€™m styling Democracy Itty Bitty bootcut jeans in this post, because again, bootcuts are my preferred jean of choice for pear shapes, though I am open to trying all kinds of new styles of denim too…I mean…you never know what will work until you try it, right? I do think bootcut jeans are a bit dressier too and work well for this post. They look great with a bit of a heel or a pointed toe pump too. The long lean look will give you legs for days…and after all…who doesnโ€™t want that? (More tips for styling pants can be found HERE)

STYLING A PLAIN WHITE TEE WITH A BLAZER

This first outfit formula features a gray blazer, which makes this look perfect for casual Fridays at the office, or lunch with friends. I added my favorite Converse sneakers to give the outfit a more casual vibe. To dress up the neckline I just added a pearl statement necklace Iโ€™ve had for years, drawing the eye up and away from the hips.

STYLING A PLAIN WHITE TEE WITH A CARGO JACKET

The second outfit features an adorable pink anorak style cargo jacket. I got this pink jacket from Stitch Fix a few years ago, and bring it out each spring. Itโ€™s the perfect weight for our wacky spring weather, and the pink hue is spot-on perfect for spring! I dressed the outfit down with neutral booties and simple jewelry.ย To read all about my last Stitch Fix visit: My Cozy Stitch Fix Reveal.

STYLING A PLAIN WHITE TEE WITH A CARDIGAN

If youโ€™ve followed me for a while, then you know that cardigans are totally my thing. You canโ€™t beat the simple outfit formula of top, jeans, sweater done. I throw cardigans on over my graphic tees, dressy blouses, and even dresses. Thereโ€™s just something about them that makes an outfit feel finished to me. If youโ€™re pear-shaped like me, look for styles either drape softly and hit you in all the right places. I added a fun, lightweight scarf to the look, along with blue slip-on sneakers. With the scarf, no necklace is necessary, so I just added simple earrings to the mix.
