Hello again! Today I’m showing you three ways to style a faux-wrap dress. Spring has finally sprung so I’ve been doing a little cleaning out of the old closet, taking inventory, and seeing what fits me. I’ve lost almost 20 pounds on the WW blue plan, so I’ve been extremely tickled to rediscover lots of cute outfits just hanging around, waiting on me to wear them again. I decided to reward myself with a couple of new things that are a little out of my comfort zone…like a wrap dress! When I found this one online at Amazon, I bit the bullet and gave it a try. And wait until you see the price y’all!Continue reading “Three Ways to Style a Faux-Wrap Dress”
Goodbye 2019 – Hello 2020! It’s the 20’s y’all! Who remembers Y2K, when we all thought our computers would crash, planes would fall from the sky and pandemonium would reign supreme? And here we are, using our phones as computers, our watches to count our steps and stay fit, and this thing called social media to keep up with friends and family, share funny memes and when you’re a blogger – share outfits and style tips! I started 2019 on a self imposed “shopping diet”, mixing up pieces I had in my closet along with pieces from Stitch Fix and things I found on sale. I’d say I was about 50% successful on my diet. Oh well, I tried. And I’m hopping on the wagon again! But in the meantime, take a look at some of my favorite outfits from the past year.Continue reading “2019 Style Recap”
It’s a wrap! And with that, the year is halfway over! Whew! That was fast! I had a busy month – I transitioned into my new position at work, had a fun weekend visit with a dear friend, spent a crazy Saturday shopping with another friend, enjoyed a girls night out with dinner and a movie, and spent lots of quality time with the hubs in the pool! (when it wasn’t raining..seriously y’all…so much rain!) Here’s a quick recap of my favorite outfits from the month, and my usual tips and shopping ideas.Continue reading “My Daily Looks – What I Wore in June”
Happy Spring! Finally!! Yippee!! Our first signal of spring is when the redbud trees start blooming, followed by the pear trees and bright yellow jonquils. Their blooms are a sweet signal that the long, dreary, wet winter might finally be in our rear view window, and pretty, sunshiny days are ahead. Only it’s the south, so we can also expect storms, tornadoes, and seasonal allergies (thank you Claritin and Flonase!!) The hubs and I decided to take a road trip to the Ozark Mountains for our Spring Break this year. We stayed at lovely, rustic Big Cedar Lodge, just south of Branson, Missouri. The trip called for a casual wardrobe, and layers, because of the iffy weather. I am usually so packing challenged y’all! But, I was inspired by the items I received in my latest Stitch Fix to use colors of pink and navy, creating a capsule wardrobe for my trip. Read on to see what I packed.
