August Stitch Fix Reveal

In just a few short days I’ll be leaving on a jet plane bound for Colorado to visit my son and his sweet family, which includes an especially adorable baby boy. I’m sure I’ll be crawling around on the floor with him quite a bit! We also plan to do a little bit of sightseeing. I asked my Stitch Fix stylist to hook me up with some comfy clothes that would be perfect for snuggling my adorable grandson, and my box arrived just in time! It’s still in the high 90’s here every day, but the evening temps should be quite a bit cooler, so my stylist Katherine sent some items that would be comfortable, practical and stylish all at the same time. Take a peek at what she sent me!

But first, here’s my usual refresher course and details about Stitch Fix:

What is Stitch Fix? Just in case you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, it’s a stylish subscription service that allows you to add cute things to your wardrobe, without having to shop for them yourself. I love that I can write my stylist a note if I have an upcoming special event or occasion, or just want to add something new to my closet.

How does it work? It’s so easy and really fun to get started. Just create your  style profile at StitchFix.com and answer a few simple questions about your taste preferences, sizes, budget, and clothing needs. When you are ready, you can schedule your first fix. You’ll be matched with a personal stylist who will review your style profile and handpick five items just for you. The clothes are shipped directly to your door so you can try them on in the comfort of your home. Shipping and returns are FREE. Try everything on, keep what you love, check out easily online, or use their handy app, and return any unwanted items in the prepaid shipping envelope that is included in your fix. They even offer a 25% discount if you buy everything in your Fix!

Tip: Create a special Pinterest Board for your stylist, so she’ll know the types of things you like, or might be looking for.

How much does Stitch Fix cost? When you schedule your fix, you will be charged a $20 styling fee for the service, which is automatically deducted from the price of any items you choose to keep.  Prices vary and you can customize your budget for various types of clothes in your style profile. I personally have my preferences set in the mid-price range, but you can choose from several price points – all the way to ‘luxe’. Stitch Fix offers styling services for plus sizes, men, maternity, petites, and are even testing out fixes for kids! Opening my Stitch Fix Box!

Here’s my August Fix!

This sporty cowl neck top from Good Hyouman is so comfy, and snuggly and warm. I can see why Katherine sent it to me. I loved it the instant I put it on. Yummmmy! Pockets and a flattering cowl neckline for the win! Absolutely amazing fabric. This is truly a high quality piece. I was thoroughly impressed!

This waterfall cardigan from MPG Sport fit me so well. Long cardigans are one of the staples in my wardrobe, and I love how the cascading fabric works with my pear shape. It can be buttoned at the neck for another look. I’ll be wearing this on the plane ride!

These cute Good Hyouman leggings are everything y’all. They fit like a dream, firmed everything up and sucked everything in (if you know what I mean). And how cute is the graphic detail on the back leg?? *bye!*

The Dylan blue ribbed  hoody was the most expensive item in my box, and my least favorite. Even though it’s one of my favorite colors, I didn’t feel like it did anything for me, probably because the fit was off a bit. I do think the ribbed fabric is a nice touch though.

Finally, another fabulous dress from Wisp, one of my favorite clothing lines from Stitch Fix. Every single Wisp dress I’ve received has fit like a dream! They’re made so well, and their patterns are absolutely gorgeous. This dress is no exception. SWOON! The colors are perfect for transitioning into fall. I’ll be wearing this beauty with a denim jacket. Be sure to check my Instagram, I’ll be styling it very soon!
