November Stylish Monday | Lovely in Leggings!

November Stylish Monday | Lovely in Leggings!

Happy November y’all! It’s time for another Stylish Monday Link Up Party.! Woot-Woot! I’m joining some of my favorite bloggers again, and this month we’re styling our leggings. I don’t know about you, but leggings are a staple in my wardrobe during the fall and winter months. To me, leggings are a basic layering piece that can be dressed up or down, and even worn to work out in. Jeggings blur the line between jeans and leggings and add another tool in the old wardrobe toolbox. Take a peek and just see how lovely my fellow bloggers look in their leggings!

My Active Wear Stitch Fix Reveal

My Active Wear Stitch Fix Reveal

I have a confession to make. I’m not one of those life-coach, fitness-coach, health-coach kinda girls. Nope. Not at all. (surprised much?) I’m more like a “take life easy, play a little, drink some wine and enjoy the ride” kind of girl. However, I recently realized that I desperately need to get in shape. Someway, somehow and right now. I’ve never been a gym person. The thought of a gym and all those machines and contraptions literally makes me sweat just thinking about them, much less getting on them! But I bit the bullet, joined a local health club and met with a trainer to get me on the road to good health and better habits. And because I’m me, that means I need cute outfits to work out in, right? Back in the day, I did Jazzercize, and yes, I wore workout tights and leotards and scrunchy socks and white Reeboks and it was a thing of beauty! Pretty sure that’s not the uniform of gym going gals anywhere these days! So I asked my Stitch Fix Stylist Katherine for a workout wear fix, and she sent me some fabulous pieces!

Holiday Fashion Capsule Wardrobe

Holiday Fashion Capsule Wardrobe

Okay. Who remembers holiday fashions in the 90’s? The beautiful (ugly) Christmas sweaters…The heavily embroidered jumpers… The plaid shirts tucked into hideously pleated khaki pants…Oh My! I distinctly remember making Christmas shirts for the whole family out of pre-printed Christmas fabric that I lovingly hand painted  and embellished with fabric paint and press on jewels. I’m pretty sure most of the designs were poinsettia, santa and teddy-bear related. I’m surprised my kids still don’t hold a grudge against me for them! And we wore them in public! On purpose! Well times have changed girls. You can still get your Holiday on, but in a less dated, and much cuter way. Read on for how I mixed and matched several basic pieces from my closet added different accessories, and turned them into fun holiday fashions… Continue reading “Holiday Fashion Capsule Wardrobe”

August Stitch Fix Reveal

August Stitch Fix Reveal

In just a few short days I’ll be leaving on a jet plane bound for Colorado to visit my son and his sweet family, which includes an especially adorable baby boy. I’m sure I’ll be crawling around on the floor with him quite a bit! We also plan to do a little bit of sightseeing. I asked my Stitch Fix stylist to hook me up with some comfy clothes that would be perfect for snuggling my adorable grandson, and my box arrived just in time! It’s still in the high 90’s here every day, but the evening temps should be quite a bit cooler, so my stylist Katherine sent some items that would be comfortable, practical and stylish all at the same time. Take a peek at what she sent me!  Continue reading “August Stitch Fix Reveal”
