Happy September y’all! I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely thrilled that August is in the books. We’re finally beginning the glory months – September, October and November. Fall is absolutely my favorite season. I love all things Autumn – the festive decor, pumpkins, falling leaves, sitting by the fire (eventually) and of course, fall clothing. I distinctly remember going to the drugstore to buy the fall issue of Seventeen magazine, and losing myself in the editorial pictures of the beautiful models dressed in plaid and boots and turtlenecks. Now I anxiously await the fall issues of Vogue and InStyle, and love to pore through the pages seeking inspiration and ideas. It makes me happy! Know what else makes me happy? Stitch Fix! And I am just ecstatic with the pre-fall Fix my stylist Katherine sent me this month!

It’s a wrap! And with that, the year is halfway over! Whew! That was fast! I had a busy month – I transitioned into my new position at work, had a fun weekend visit with a dear friend, spent a crazy Saturday shopping with another friend, enjoyed a girls night out with dinner and a movie, and spent lots of quality time with the hubs in the pool! (when it wasn’t raining..seriously y’all…so much rain!) Here’s a quick recap of my favorite outfits from the month, and my usual tips and shopping ideas.

Happy July! We are definitely in the midst of the dog days of summer down here in the south y’all. It’s rainy, and sticky, and hot and humid and just downright hot! It’s usually a challenge to dress for work in the summer months, because it’s blazing hot outside, but freezing cold in the air conditioning. Believe it or not, I actually run a little personal heater at my desk, just to keep from freezing. I’m not complaining though, can you imagine life without AC in the south? No thanks! I had a few random requests for my Stitch Fix Stylist — a maxi dress, a pair of shoes and a  colored denim jacket to fight off that AC. Here’s what I received…

May 2019 is in the books! And y’all!!! I was so ready for the month to end, and beyond ready to kick off June in style! Let’s just say it was the best of times and the worst of times, all rolled into one month. It’s my birthday month! Yay! I got to spend time with the grands! Yay! My boss told me he was moving me from my dream job to another department. Boooo. My confidence and ego were shattered. Double boooo. But now I get to work with some fantastically talented and compassionate people who have loved and embraced me and welcomed me into their work family! Yay! AND I got to redecorate my new office space, and oh yeah, I may need a few new outfits for my new position. Enter Stitch Fix to the rescue! I’m still on my shopping diet, so I’m trying to be practical in my clothing purchases. I asked for items I could wear in my new position….let’s see how my stylist did!
