Happy New Year y’all! Today I’m taking a look back at my top ten favorites for 2022, including fashion items and beauty products. I’m also collaborating with my Coast to Coast Style Collective friends, so you’ll be able to see what they were loving last year. Looking back and taking inventory of what did or didn’t work is a great way to plan ahead and move forward, and maybe even clean out those closets to make room for new things!

Top Ten Favorites for 2022 | Fashion & Style
Coatigans & Long Cardigans
Hands down my favorite silhouette that works for my pear-shaped body, especially when partnered with column dressing. I have an entire section of my closet dedicated to this fashion staple! I found the plaid one pictured above at TJ Maxx last year, and have reached for it several times. It’s such a welcome substitute for a heavy coat. I recently shared a fun way to style this very coatigan in my Instagram Reels, so check it out when you have a chance.
Zella Flare Leggings
How much do I love these bad boys? So much so that I ordered another pair to replace the ones that went missing when I returned home from my trip to Italy. They were the absolute perfect travel pant. I wore these leggings everywhere during my trip because they’re so easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion. They hold things in nice and tight but never feel binding. The higher waistline fights that dreaded muffin top in style. Will I be ordering another pair soon? Yes. Yes, I believe I will!
Band Tees
Sorry, not sorry about wearing graphic band tees on the regular. I can’t help myself. They’re nostalgic and fun to wear, and can give a funky edge to an otherwise sedate blazer and jeans ensemble. Knot the tee and wear over a simple slip dress and throw on a denim or leather biker jacket for a trendy date night outfit, or just wear it with the Zella leggings. You do you! And rock on!
Denim Jackets
I’m here to confess right now. I own plenty of denim jackets. But that doesn’t mean I have enough of them! I collect them in colors and different silhouettes and find that they add just the right finishing touch to any outfit. I really enjoyed the elongated denim jackets from Chico’s last year and found that they were perfect for my pear shape. They even looked super cute with a pair of joggers.
The Green Field Jacket
Another item I wore all across Italy! The weight is just right, and the length is perfect. I’m working it with black column dressing and touches of leopard here, but I have also styled it with a lightweight striped sweater from Zara and black jeans, and loved how put together I felt. This style jacket is a workhorse, and I’m definitely happy with the purchase!
Bright Colors
From jackets to tops, I embraced this trend all year long. I probably do wear bright pink too much, but I feel like it’s almost become my signature color. Having said that, the next item may surprise you.
Neutrals
I’m not sure what’s going on in my head right now, but for some reason, I’ve been feeling the whole camel, tan, black color palette vibe lately. It feels timeless and classic, and has become my “I don’t know what to wear today” outfit of choice. A neutral color palette is also a fantastic starting point for a capsule wardrobe.

Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray
I discovered this miracle product in 2022 and have sworn by it ever since. It acts as a powerful heat protectant and smooths my hair while I’m drying it. It also cuts way down on drying time, which equals healthier hair! I struggled with the condition of my hair last year, and am thrilled with my results. It’s good stuff. Trust me.
Kiss Impress Nails
I have the world’s worst fingernails. They’re short, soft, and tear easily, and I’m done with nail salons because of hygiene and expense. So what’s a girl to do? These little beauties are my fingertips’ new best friend. They come in an array of colors, lengths and styles and look beautiful! I prefer the short length They’ll stay on for days if you do the initial prep work, using the alcohol wipe and pushing back the cuticles. It’s best to avoid getting your hands wet after the initial application, so I usually pop them on before bedtime. I love them!
Replica Jazz Club Fragrance
I discovered this gorgeously sophisticated and smoky fragrance in Italy when the Air BnB we were staying at graciously supplied them with their toiletries. So of course I quickly ordered a bottle when I got back home and have been using it ever since. I prefer masculine scents, and this one fits the bill. Love, Love Love it!

Happy New Year Andy! What a fun post. I feel like it’s the festive holiday season all over again as I hop around each of your blogs adding fun tried-and-true items to my cart! I love all of your jackets and you’ve inspired me to try out column dressing. Even though I am not a pear, I like the idea of a single uniform under my jackets and long cardigans. I’ve been feeling a bit sloppy and uninspired lately, so thanks for the kick start – I may even add some color to my wardrobe – whoa!
As a longtime Kenra hairspray junkie, I have never heard of the blow out product you shared, for sure going to try that out – it sounds like just what my hair need right now. And the nails, I’ll be sharing those with my MIL as she has been looking for just what you shared. We both did gel nails over the holidays and now our nails look like crap 🙂
A while back, you shared an eye brightener you loved. and my eyes are in a serious post-holiday dark circle – too much coffee – hot mess. Can you share what you use on your eyes? They look amazing!

So many great clothing options here! I am excited to try the Kenra product–as a fellow southerner, I am always looking for the holy grail in hair care–products that keep the frizz down and keep my hair the way I styled it. It was so much fun to see what you loved this year.
We need all the help we can get down here! Humidity is great for our skin, but icky for our hair. I think you’ll be happy with the Kenra. Keep me posted!
