This series will feature ideas and fashion inspo for you ladies who might need a little nudge to try new trends, styles and colors as you tiptoe into the sixties. Today’s post features a darling dress I found at a local boutique in my favorite shade of bubblegum pink. FASHION OVER SIXTY | Why Pink Works!
Here’s the deal. Wearing brighter colors near your face is an instant pick-me-up. This season’s dopamine dressing trend has been a BLESSING for us ladies of a certain age. Not comfortable with an all-pink look like this dress? Try a pop of pink instead, like a scarf, a necklace, or even brightly colored earrings to your neutral-colored outfit. How about a white tank, white jeans, and a pink jacket.? Anything to brighten you up works beautifully!
How to Style a Pink Dress
This pink dress makes me happy! It is a happy marriage between modest and trendy styles. The tiers are perfectly on trend, the fabric is lightweight and perfect for our screaming hot summer weather, and the sleeve length is just what the doctor ordered for those of us who want a little more arm coverage.
How to Accessorize a Pink Dress
Since the dress is the punctuation mark of this outfit, I kept the accessories fairly simple. My shoes are the neutral pink-toned braided sandals from Amazon that I loved so much I purchased them in black too! They’re so similar to the braided sandals from Dolce Vita that we’ve all seen everywhere this spring and summer, but the heel height is much comfier. for me. The block heel is trending now ladies, so these sandals are just right for those of us over sixty, whose high heels days are long gone. Hallelujah! Something in style that is actually practical! Miracles do happen!
I added simple pink resin earrings and the initial necklace set I’ve been wearing all spring and summer. I’m linking several choices for you below. Not convinced to try pink? Take a peek at t THIS POST for another pretty color option.
