Dresses for the Fourth – a Fiery Red Dress
As I shared in my last post, I’ve always been a huge fan of linen, going way back to the dark ages of my 30’s. With the addition of newer fabric blends, today’s linen pieces are less likely to wrinkle, but still offer the same cool, effortless vibe you want. This cute fiery red linen dress from Chico’s hits me in all my feels. It sweeps away from the body but doesn’t overwhelm my pear-shaped figure. It’s perfect for those of us who would rather not draw attention to the hip area. The neckline and sleeves draw the eye upward, which is another great style tip for pear-shaped figures.
Dresses for the Fourth – Blue T-Shirt Dress
This blue knit t-shirt dress features tulip sleeves and a fantastic slub knit that plays well with any figure and is perfect for the fourth! The sleeve detail elevates the simple style of the dress, so I think it’ll be perfect for my summer workwear too. I’ve styled it here with a pair of blue sandals, but wouldn’t it be cute with sneakers? Just add sparklers and you’re good to go!

This adorable striped dress from Old Navy is my final look. It’s got all the trendy Fourth of July feels! The striped fabric reminds me of ticking. I love the longer length, the smocked details, and the ruffled hemline. It’s so figure-flattering, cool, and super comfortable to wear. But wait! There’s more! it’s lined AND it has pockets! The back is super cute too. And that’s why I’m giving it two thumbs up y’all. Grab this one before it’s gone!
