Chic & Cozy Coats | January Stylish Monday

How to Style a Pink Coat

Chic & Cozy Coats is this month’s Stylish Monday theme, and the ladies have outdone themselves this time y’all. Our weather here is milder than most of my Stylish Monday sisters, so I don’t often wear a big, bulky coat, but it sure is nice to have one or two in the closet when it does feel like actual winter around here! I was really interested to see how the ladies styled theirs since several of them live in much colder climates. Read on for all the fabulous details, and information on how you can join the fun and link up with us.

MY CHIC & COZY COATS

How I Style A Leopard Print Coat

This leopard print coat from Chico’s has been in my closet for several years now, and it definitely fits the theme of chic & cozy! I’ve styled it in several different ways. Check out my Holiday Capsule Wardrobe for all the deets on how I dressed it up and down for the holidays. On a side note, wow my hair was short!

As you can see in the collage, I’ve styled it with a red tunic sweater, leggings, and boots, which is one of my favorite fashion formulas for winter dressing. I love the pop of red with the leopard print, the two are just made for each other, don’t you think? I’ve also styled it with a chambray tunic and different necklaces just to switch it up. Leopard is a neutral, and is just so versatile!
The current photo features the same coat, a black top, and black leggings and boots. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that column dressing is one of my tried and true tricks for dressing a pear shape. You can read more tip HERE and HERE.

How I Style A Pink Coat

I just snatched this gorgeous pink Calvin Klein coat from the Dillards after Christmas sale, and it was an absolute steal, at an extra 40% off! They run the best sales from time to time, and I almost always take advantage. This gorgeous coat is in my favorite shade of pink and is a cashmere blend. As usual, the arms need a bit of tailoring to fit me properly, but that’s an easy fix! Here’s a couple of ways I styled this beauty.

A luuriously soft car coat like this one is just the ticket for throwing on over a casual jeans and tee shirt outfit. I’ve added my sparkly pink Kate Spade Keds and a pink crossbody to complete the outfit. The thigh-length of this coat easily glides over my hips and thighs. I love it!
Here I’ve styled the coat with a simple ivory turtleneck, bootcut jeans, and snake print booties. Bootcut jeans are great for us pear-shaped girls! Style tip: Bootcuts in a longer length, styled with a pointed toe shoe or bootie visually makes the legs look longer and leaner. Try it!
I just had to add this cute pic of our new rescue pup Walter. He hasn’t left my side since we brought him home. You can bet he’ll be starring in many pictures and blog posts to come! I mean…just look at those floppy ears! He’s such a sweetie!
