One Jacket – Five Ways!
I knew I wanted this menswear plaid jacket the moment I found it during the Nordstrom Sale! I thought the plaid would be a perfect neutral pattern to style with jeans or trousers. However, I really didn’t realize just how versatile it is until I began work on this post! Take a look at a few of the ways you can style a jacket like this!
Jacket + Paisley Top + Jeans

The menswear inspired jacket goes casual with the addition of paisley and my favorite Denizen jeans from Target. I also added a pair of snake print heels to elevate the look, making it perfect for a date night or even a casual work day.
Jacket + Paisley Top + Trousers

Keeping the same top and heels, I just swapped out the jeans for a pair of bootcut trousers, making this outfit perfect for work. I love bootcut pants and jeans! They are PERFECT for a pear shaped body! Read more about how to style a pear shape here.
Jacket + Yellow Bow Blouse + Jeans

I found this pretty yellow bow blouse last year at TJMaxx. It’s a perfect blouse for fall, and I think it looks great with the jacket! I’m styling the look here with the same jeans, and added the Cole Haan mules I received from Amazon last month.
Jacket + Simple Tee + Jeans

I found these mules at Target during my last excursion there. I love the rust color, and think it’s absolutely perfect for fall! I then added the rust color crewneck tee from my closet. Both pieces look great with the jacket and jeans, don’t you think?
Jacket + Graphic Tee + Jeans

Now I’m just having fun y’all! Who knew that a plain, menswear plaid jacket could be this festive? I’ve had this sparkly graphic tee in my closet for a few years, and thought it would add a bit of spunk to the otherwise simple jacket. Here’s a little style tip for you: think outside the box and play with your clothes, and if it makes you happy, wear it!

I love all of the ways you’ve styled your jacket! I may just have to get a pair of the rust mules from Target! Loving the gold lips on your brown t–do you have a link for that?
Hi! Thanks so much! I got that tee shirt two years ago at a local boutique. I scoured the web to see if I could find anything similar but didn’t have any luck. It was a Valentine tee, so we may have better luck then. I’ll keep looking!
Hi Andy!
Wow, so many great looks! I love a longline plaid jacket! I bought one but it is a bit heavier, so I need to wait until it is colder outside. I love the rust top with the suede mules, so rich and beautiful! The mix of prints is great and I am all for snakeskin shoes and boots, wearing mine today!

Thanks Jess! Full disclosure: it was 95 when I took these pics! I’m so ready for actual fall to arrive! Can’t wait to pop over and see how you styled your plaid!
I love all of your shoes! Especially the snakeskin ones! I do not have a need for a blazer in my closet but these outfits are great inspiration! Great looks!

Like you and Jess, I am loving snakeskin with plaid! It adds a non-preppy twist on plaid! Your jacket is fabulous and so versatile. I love that lady look with sneakers, adorable and fun!
