Trunk Club Reveal for Spring

Spring Trunk club Reveal

You know I love me some Stitch Fix, and have enjoyed the styling service for several years now. But, last year, on a whim, I thought I’d give Trunk Club a try. I’ve tried it a couple of times since, and I’ll be honest, it’s hit or miss for me.
It works a bit differently. You’re assigned a stylist who communicates with you as often as you’d like via the app or online. You can ask for specific items or just let her know what events you have coming up that you might need a special outfit for. That part I like, as it seems very personal. The items usually come from Nordstrom and are high quality. They arrive in good condition, however they’re almost always wrapped in the original shipment plastic packaging, so they arrive wrinkled, as you’ll see in the pics below. They send TONS of items for you to play with and give you five days to try on your Trunk. They don’t charge you until they receive your returns.

Here’s a few things I received this month:

I really wanted to like this little top, but I felt it was too short on me, hitting me in the danger zone – the widest area of my hips. It was sheer and very feminine. But I knew I wouldn’t wear it, so back it went.

I was really excited about this top. I loved the red color and it fit me nicely. However, it was weirdly clingy! I knew it would drive me absolutely crazy. Such a bummer, because it wasn’t that expensive!

I tried it on with these red heels: Trunk Club Vince Camuto red Heels

I sent both the top and heels back. I just purchased a very similar pair of red heels and couldn’t justify the $100 bucks just because these were so dang cute!

This was such a cute Donna Reed type dress. I’ve seen shirt dresses everywhere this spring, and was so excited that this was on the way. But……Here is an example of what NOT to wear when you’re pear shaped. Girls, that dress did not work for me AT ALL. I felt huge in it. It’s well constructed and was lovely, but for someone much slimmer with smaller hips. It was too big on the top, and emphasized my hips. I felt huge in it. Story of my life. Sigh…

I kept this little black skirt. It’s kind of hard to tell in my photo, but it features a super cute ruffle detail in the front that disguised my tummy and added a flirty touch. It will be perfect for work! I kept this one.

I also kept this necklace, though I didn’t try it on. It’s pink! My favorite color, so I couldn’t resist.Topshop Pink Necklace

I’m still getting the feel of Trunk Club. I love subscription services, they’re a nice convenience for a busy working woman like myself. Have you tried Trunk Club? How was your experience? Do you have any tips and pointers?

Thanks for reading! I’m just tickled pink you popped in! Say hi!
