My last Christmas was spent in Covid jail (yes, Santa gave me Covid for Christmas – guess I was a bad girl) so this year, I’m ready to pull out all the stops! How To Look Festive And Fabulous for the Holidays
Here are a few tips for looking your best this holiday season:
- Go ahead and wear sparkle! As much as you please. Now that we’re slowly easing out of the pandemic, folks are wanting to get dressed up again. You’re going to see sequins everywhere this season.
- Try a little velvet. This lovely fabric works so well during the holidays. Look for newer versions of these quintessential fabrics that are more stretchy and far more comfortable than the velvet of our past. Reach for jewel tones and pair them with black for an elegant look.
- Wear a statement piece of jewelry – earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets. Just remember to choose one, and keep the rest of your look simple.
- Mix it up! Don’t be afraid to wear that sequin or velvet top with a pair of jeans and sneakers. I’ve even seen chambray tops styled with sequin or velvet palazzo pants.
- It’s the holidays! Have fun! If you can’t have fun with fashion right now, when can you?
My Festive and Fabulous Outfit – The Sequin Sleeve Sweater
I found this adorable sweater at Versona a while back and knew it would be perfect for my husband’s office party. It’s just the right amount of bling! Heck, this thing is so cute I’d probably wear it to a Christmas party in my house eating pizza and watching Hallmark Christmas movies! The puff sleeves are right on trend too. I’m styling it with a pair of black polished jeans from White House Black Market. I’m obsessed with these jeans! They offer the look of faux leather, but aren’t quite as thick and are much more breathable too.
