Favorite Fall Outfits

Welp. October 2018 is officially in the books. What??? Is it just me, or does the calendar seem to speed up as we enter the last quarter of the year? I mean, it was just summer, am I right? It cracks me up to go to stores and see the crazy mishmash of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas all displayed together like a crazy quilt of holiday madness. But, I love fall fashions, and I couldn’t wait to break out the sweaters and plaid, and burgundy and leopard this year. Here’s a little wrap up of some of my favorite fall outfits from October. It’s a mix of workwear and casual style. Read on!

Floral tops for fallI adore these pretty fall florals. Yes you can still wear floral prints in the fall! The red front tie top is actually one I wore earlier in the year. The other two are from Chico’s. And I’m obsessed with the new bootcut plaid pants from Chico’s. Who knew plaid and floral played so well together? Shop similar here:

Fall yellow sweatersThe second group has a golden tone! The yellow sweater and floral top are from Old Navy,  Old Navy ALWAYS has the cutest sweaters and casual tops. I received lots of complements on the plaid poncho. It was so cozy and just the right touch for fall. And how about those leopard booties and tassel necklace? Fun, right?  Shop similar here:

Leopard and Pink and red

The third and final group features a little more leopard, some pretty pink and fabulous red.  Mostly pulled from the closet, other than the long leopard tunic, which I couldn’t resist! Shop similar items here:

How to wear cardigansAnd here’s some burgundy and blue and mustard yellow for you. Who says pear shaped gals can’t wear stripes? Not me y’all! Wear what you love, love what you wear. All three cardigans are from a local boutique. The burgundy bootcut cords were in my October Stitch Fix, and I couldn’t wait to wear them. They are so soft and super comfy!

Camo Skinny PantsAnd finally, a couple of casual outfit items. An adorable striped ruffle sleeve top from Old Navy, and my beloved Umgee camo pants. I have already gotten my money’s worth out of those pants. They are so versatile! Shop similar here:

  1. Hi – I love the way you styled those florals and I love your jewelry! You have a knack. I only have one floral blouse because I feel that floral tops, especially large florals, make me look bigger on top (I’m an inverted triangle shape). I actually wear leopard and animal prints all year, depending on the fabric and type of clothing. For instance, I have silk tees, a midi skirt, slip-on sneakers, lightweight tunics and a clutch in animal prints. Then in fall and winter I start wearing my leopard-print faux fur vest and faux fur jacket. Anyway, I really enjoyed seeing these outfits you came up with. They look great on you! – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

    1. Hi Angie! Sounds like we have reverse body types. I don’t mind florals because I’m smaller on top. Wonder if a smaller floral pattern would work better for you? I’d love to see that midi skirt! Thanks for your comments and for popping in!
