July Mother/Daughter Stitch Fix Reveal

MotherDaughter Stitch Fix Reveal

My daughter and the grands came over to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday, so she and I decided it would be the perfect chance for us to do another fun Mother/Daughter Stitch Fix reveal! So I quickly sent a note to my stylist, letting her know what we wanted to do. Happily, our Fix arrived just in time! So in between swimming and eating and napping and chasing toddlers and a few hissy fits (not me, I promise) we squeezed in a little photoshoot of our Stitch Fix Reveal. We had an absolute blast trying on everything, and her daughter even got in on the action, as you’ll see below.

What is Stitch Fix? Just in case you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, it’s a stylish subscription service that allows you to add cute things to your wardrobe, without having to shop for them yourself. I love that I can write my stylist a note if I have an upcoming special event or occasion, or just want to add something new to my closet.

How does it work? It’s so easy and really fun to get started. Just create your  style profile at StitchFix.com and answer a few simple questions about your taste preferences, sizes, budget, and clothing needs. When you are ready, you can schedule your first fix. You’ll be matched with a personal stylist who will review your style profile and handpick five items just for you. The clothes are shipped directly to your door so you can try them on in the comfort of your home. Shipping and returns are FREE. Try everything on, keep what you love, check out easily online, or use their handy app, and return any unwanted items in the prepaid shipping envelope that is included in your fix. They even offer a 25% discount if you buy everything in your Fix!

How much does Stitch Fix cost? When you schedule your fix, you will be charged a $20 styling fee for the service, which is automatically deducted from the price of any items you choose to keep.  Prices vary and you can customize your budget for various types of clothes in your style profile. I personally have my preferences set in the mid-price range, but you can choose from several price points – all the way to ‘luxe’. .Stitch Fix offers styling services for plus sizes, men, maternity, petites, and are even testing out fixes for kids! There might be a grandkids’ fix in my future.

Stitch Fix Stylist Note

I arrived home from work to find my little box on the porch, and quickly opened it up to read the note from Katherine, my stylist. She didn’t have much time to select things for me, since I scheduled the Fix at the last minute, but she did a great job, as usual.

First up is the Kaileigh Elizandra Tie Back Mixed Material Top. Amanda styled this one with her own distressed jeans, and she loved it. The tie back was a nice detail. The halter style is timeless and pure summer fun! My granddaughter like it too! She thought Mommy looked pretty…

We both tried the Q&A Ashley Off-The-Shoulder Blouse. It’s a vivid royal blue, and perfect for the Fourth. I styled it with Candace Split Hem Skinny Jean from Kut From The Kloth. Amanda tried it on with her own patterned shorts I thought it looked great on her, but I always struggle with off the shoulder style tops because of my narrow shoulders. The skinny jeans fit and looked great!

You know I’m a HUGE fan of the Maxi, and you can read all about previous maxidresses I’ve received from Stitch Fix in this blog post. The Janel Knit Maxi Dress from French Grey fit us both so well. As a reference, Amanda is 5’9” and I’m 5’7”. It was actually the perfect length for her. I just added a wedge to make it work for me. The stretchy fabric and high waist was flattering on both of us. She knotted the hem for a modern twist. (see what we did there?) Because I’m such a good mom, I let her keep it. It will be perfect for both work and church! I know I can borrow it any time!

I have already worn the Auld Tassel Drop Earrings from Kevia to church and work! They’re so fun, and the tassel is spot on trendy! I thought they were super cute. They looked great with the royal blue top too.

I had so much fun working with my daughter on this blog post. She’s a very busy wifey, school counselor and mom, and still finds time to create beautiful things. Check out her Etsy shop here: SWEETFROG PRINTSHOP.

  1. How fun! Maybe I’ll do one of these with my daughters! I weigh more than either of them – could I get a separate fix for them? Happy 4th!

    1. Hi! Amanda is taller and thinner than I am. But I’m her size in tops and blouses. So we can share tops and dresses sometimes. It’s fun!

  2. What a great post, my daughter and I both do Stitch Fix and post about it, but we don’t wear the same size. It would be awesome if we did!
I have been trying to convince the other Moms that a back to school Stitch Fix would be a great time and sanity saver.

    1. That’s a great idea! Keep working on them. You’re on the right track there sister!

  3. Loving the Mother/Daughter Stitch Fix!!! Oh, that off the shoulder top is sooo cute on you with the tassel earrings.

    1. Thanks Regan! The earrings are ah-mazing! I’ve already worn them several times. ❤️

  4. I LOVE Stitch Fix! I got my mom hooked as well and we loving opening our fixes together! We also are the same size so we have double to share each time!
