Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day is May 13 this year. Are you ready? I always looked forward to Mother’s Day as a chance to spoil my sweet Mama, giving her things she’d never give herself. One of my favorite things to pamper her with was her favorite cologne – Red Door by Elizabeth Arden. I usually picked up one of those nifty gift sets at Dillard’s. When I cleaned out her closet after she passed, I found one of those gift sets, still neatly wrapped in tissue and decorative gift bag. She never got around to using it. OR she was just too sweet to tell me to stop giving her Red Door! Not sure which, but that little bottle of Red Door is on my vanity, and whenever I’m missing her, I spritz some in the air, and walk through it, and it feels like a mom hug.

I discovered Nest candles over the holidays and I was immediately hooked. Richly fragranced, and virtually smoke free; they are absolutely divine. Hands down my favorite fragrance line. I’m a huge fan of Pomegranate Noir. It’s rich and warm, and not too floraly. I just love it. I also enjoy blending the Jo Malone fragrances too, it’s so fun to play with them all, mixing and matching. Consider gifting Mom with a gift set! She’ll be glad you did!

Urban Decay Naked Palette

If your Mom is into makeup, or even if she’s not, she’ll love this beautiful set of perfectly neutral colors. This palette leans a bit “rose” so if she’s blonde like me, it’ll be perfect for her, but I think the colors will work for all skin tones! The pigments in all of the Naked Palettes are top notch. They last all day, and never flake off onto the cheeks, or disappear during long days at the office. 

Soma pjs

Soma has a line of nighties and PJ’s called ‘Cool Nights’ that I just swear by. They are super soft and comfy, and really help ladies who tend to have ‘personal summers’ in the middle of the night! They have many styles, but I thought these were especially cute. (Because us moms and grandmoms do tend to worry too much!)
