September Stitch Fix Reveal!

Happy Fall Y’all! According to the calendar, it’s fall. But according to the thermometer on my car this afternoon it’s still summer. It’s 90 something degrees here. But a girl can dream of fall, can’t she? And in a few weeks, I’ll actually get to experience an actual authentic autumn! Complete with  cooler temps, beautiful leaves, apples and pumpkins. All those things that just shout the change of season from summer to fall. The hubs and I are taking a little trip to visit my brother and his family in the northeast, and I can’t wait! I told my Stitch Fix Stylist about my trip, and asked her to send me some things I could wear on our little adventure to the north. And as usual, Erin rocked it!

So yes, it was 90 something degrees when I tried on the items in my latest Stitch Fix box. As a matter of fact, the hubs and I were just in the pool 30 minutes before we took these photos! That’s why only one of them is outdoors. It was too hot to be in a heavy sweater in Louisiana! Just sayin’!

Seeing that cute Stitch Fix box on the front porch sure makes me happy! I just love their packaging, and the personal note from my stylist is such a nice touch. I sent Erin a note requesting things for our trip, and her response shows that she read my note, and did her best to accommodate my needs. Now that’s good customer service y’all!

Up first is the Katlan Button Down Top from Market & Spruce, worn with the black Elizabeth Super Skinny Jeans from Liverpool. The jeans are not only super skinny, they’re super stretchy! That’s a huge win in my book! They’re a pull on style with a nice wide waistband. No muffin top! Woot!

The plaid shirt is so dang cute! It’s made very well, and the fabric is a bit heavier, which will work nicely for the cooler temperatures.

  • I kept the top, but sent back the pants, since I own a very similar pair.

Next, I tried on the O+O Sanilla Cross Hem Pullover. I had pinned a very similar sweater on my Pinterest Board, and Erin took note of that, and sent this for me to try. It’s a beautiful spruce color, which one of this season’s hottest hues. I’m sweating so hard right now. Can you tell? 90 degrees. In the shade. In September. Louisiana!

  • I returned the sweater, because I was afraid the cute crossover emphasized my hips at their widest part of my body. Part of the Pear-Shaped struggle. The struggle is real y’all. Sigh…

Here’s the yellow Linda Swallow Print Scarf from Printed Village. It’s so dang cute. I love how the bright pop of yellow adds a playful touch to the darker tone of the sweater.

  • I returned the scarf too. It’s cute, I just didn’t think I’d get much wear out of it after our trip. I have to shop smart y’all!

I tried on the Laila Jayde Tonia Ribbed Side Slit Duster Cardigan last. I knew this would be a winner. These long sweaters are totally in my comfort zone. They hide a multitude of sins, and lengthen my body. It’s also snuggly and will be perfect for the cooler evenings during our trip. The gray color will match almost anything! So it’s a practical purchase. I kept this one!

I hate making returns, especially when everything is as cute as this Fix was. But Stitch Fix makes it so easy to return. They provide a postage paid, pre-addressed bag. Just seal up the returns in the bag, and drop off at the Post Office. So easy cheesey. I use the Stitch Fix app on my phone to check out, and boom. Done. Stitch Fix is easy, it’s helpful when you need a little style inspiration, and it provides a little dose of “happy” each month. I love it! If you like receiving new clothes, handpicked by a stylist, then Stitch Fix is for you! 1. I hope fall has set I when you make your trip. The heat index here in the mid-Atlantic (north to some) was close to 100 today 😳. I too am looking forward to fall finally arriving. Loved your stitch fix looks. I’m beginning to think I should give them a try.

  2. I am still waiting on fall here in North Carolina too! You got a great fix! That scarf is adorable and I love the cardigan. Stitch Fix always has the best cardigans!
